Look beyond the oneness Look towards the gateless gate It is there you’ll meet your reflection And shatter the mirror of the mind A million suns, a million universes Who knows how many there have been In this vast ocean of being Do not waste effort trying to grasp them
In places where ancient rocks rumble Of power, hardship and violence You can hear tales of birds fallen Of tearing through limbs careless in craze Of warm blood splattered Of being stronger than all else Until you are not You can meet elusive sand - Or what's left of the mighty rocks It whispers of being everywhere, and yet Belonging nowhere at all As it floats furiously, enchanted by wind As it’s being disassembled Just to appear a new shape again Its lesson of being humble And then there are those Being transformed from rock to sand Eroded by relentless streams of water They speak of change and being deformed They teach of trust in elements of the world They say that nature becomes That what you choose to take Human, for how much longer will you keep Fighting its control with control Giving nothing back? This maw of chaos swallowing us Only devours who's chronically afraid - In denial of fear itself These ferocious earthquakes Split apart and break Only those with a core long
Firmly rooted, sitting in tall grass And I am human Yellow-green blades tease my skin As they tease yours As they touch everyone else’s And the sun The sparkling beacon of distant warmth Welcomes all our bodies Nourishes The frozen hearts we like to keep The wind messes up our hair Entangled We face its volatile moods together And the ocean Oh, its sweet scent of infinity It fills our senses As if we were one and the same And you ask - can there be A moment more perfect Can we sink even deeper Into ourselves and each other In response we laugh, wholeheartedly And let fate take care of itself

Changes are done in rest by Alexandria Acevedo
Change is inevitable,
the moment you open your eyes from slumber, change begins.
A new day.
A new moment.
A never ending cycle of rest,
then the state of consciousness.
Let go of sleep as if your peace depends on it.
Let go of being awake as if rest is your enemy.
Each state is as balanced as you are.
Rest, sleep, close your eyes knowing you already have peace.
Awake, alive, open your eyes knowing you already do enough.
Remember to flow into day and night trusting yourself.
This changing cycle is good.
What would it be like A world without me Mountain tops withering Without me longing Blackened clouds weeping In their sacred rhythms Without me getting drenched What would the world be If I was not watching Winds haunting the seas Lashing them into madness Without me mesmerized By the churning waters What would my body be And where would thoughts come from Without me Judging their each thread And breeding them into Twisted anxieties What would taste feel like Without my experience What would colors be Without me naming them In such arbitrary fashion What would music mean And who would it speak to If I was to Switch off my selfness If I was to forget Trying to own existence
Behold the ever present
Fabric of the universe
How it holds itself
Moment to moment
Without an effort
Feel its threads
Embedded in your skin
How they flow in time
A non-conscious intelligence
That makes itself real
It defines you
While you cover in thoughts
Cowardly
Lest be consumed
While you’re already
Being digested
Recycled and rearranged
Into your next instance
Mind disease
An augmentation self-inflicted
Nature's own chemicals
Purposefully
Redirected
Into madness
Icy flames charge
Through the vertebrae
This dying flesh
Invigorated
Infectious
Over stimulating
Sweet torture
Where terrors are born
Scream
Cry from the inside
Where nobody hears
The noize of your darkness
Fragile hair shivers
Anticipating
Mind disease
A cellular overdrive
Self-injected
Sensation distributed
Order of the brain
Overpowered
Altering reality
An alternative
Superimposed
State of humanity
Cry
Weep from the inside
Tears of comprehension
That nobody can see
Tranquility in pain
An all-consuming apathy
When nothing exist
I close my weary eyes and wonder, dare I dream?
Should I escape in the oasis of a realm
That's filled with wondrous lies? Or should I scream
And shatter the obscuring blinds? As in the real
I shake the numbness of my limbs and still
I dare to feel.
In my dry bones I find no power as I kneel
And try forsaking the dreams which I broke
Of living in a world I dared invoke.
I beg to have the power that I sorely craved
Wrenched violently, as from the enslaved
I am still saved.
And who, upon your loving sight, to look has braved?
While kneeling, as your greatly wondrous might
Would make the fiercest statue run in fright?
And as your light would ma
Consciousness fractured
Into countless pieces
We fly above the clouds
New, and weightless
Only emptiness remains
Our bodies but memories
A fragile tether
To what was once before
No direction and no eyes
We feel the way within our minds
Immaterial we become
All that absorbs us
