Change in ContestI am cancelling the Magic Refrigerator contest as there were not enough entries - my thnks to those who did submit.
I am switching gears as there are some great prizes - and I have to update the prize list!!
The contest is "Legends, Myths, and Fairy Tales". Each person can enter two pieces. Tell me a legend, fairy tale or myth- one of your own, or retell an old one. Change the ending of a classic and give it a new twist. Combine several tales at once - be creative. The two categories are literature (Poetry and Prose) and Digital Art.

=QuiEstInLiteris is rather amazing, all told, and definitely worth your time. Her work is gorgeous - her poetry equally so to her prose. She is in all likelihood one of my favourite prose writers on deviantART, due to her smart, clever, and unbelievably original work. She's one of the very few writers I will and do read chaptered works from, because her work is absolutely incredible. The one word I'd use to describe her work as a whole is 'charming' - all of her works are utterly charming, and it's been an incredible struggle, not just to find words to describe her writing, but to pick only four pieces by her that I completely adore. But here you go - enjoy!

     For the final installment in the Trickster article series, we’ll be discussing tricksters in modern literature and the ways, if any, in which these modern-day tricksters are similar to those in mythology and folklore, folktales and fables, and fairytales and fantasy.
      The artwork in this article focuses on tricksters currently in popular media, mostly films and television, since art of tricksters in modern-day literature is difficult to find. Many thanks to the artists for allowing me to feature their gorgeous artwork in these articles.
     So, how does the modern-day trickster compare to tricksters we discussed in past articles? Let’s find out.

Farewell, PizzaWell... I've done it. I've broken the rules, and now I'm paying the price.

I've been eating rather recklessly the past two weeks, and for the last three days, there has been a little war raging in my stomach. Who knows whose side I'm on... I'm too tired to remember! But I feel utterly, miserably sick. Those of you who have had stomach pain know that it is no joke.
Oh, and did I mention there is a paper cut on my thumb, and it hurts like the dickens?

Unexpected Love Contest! (UPDATED)

Our group :iconsoul-poets: is having a big poetry contest revolving around the concept of unexpected love.  Love between two beings that we (or your characters) wouldn't expect. It doesn't have to be a strict serious kind of poem, it can be fun as well.  Just  have fun and let your creative juices flow with this subject!

All submissions for the contest will be put into one folder called Unexpected Love Contest. This contest will be running until March 31st 11:59pm MST time, after that the submissions will be closed.

-You must be a member of #Soul-Poets to enter, joining the group is automatically accepted.

-You can only submit 2 contest entries

-The submission entry must be made for this specific contest, it cannot be made earlier than January 1st.

-You may submit any poem of any length that you choose, however if you choose a format of poetry that has strict rules then it will be judged accordingly (i.e. haiku)
